CHARACTER'S PERSONAL STYLE:

Syrine is not one for all the glitz and glam despite being a gymnast and a model. She is a more simple, down to earth kind of girl. She prefers to be comfortable at all time in what she wears. So most of the time she is in a pair of jeans and a tang top. On occasion she can be spotted wearing something other than her normal standards such as a skirt or a nice blouse. She prefers to be in sandals or regular tennis shoes over a pair of heels or wedges. However, she knows there are times where she has to suffer a lil bit of pain to look beautiful for important gatherings such as family gatherings, formal social events, and of course when she is modeling for a cover shoot.

CHARACTER PERSONALITY:

Syrine personality for most people when they first meet her is hard to pin down. Syri does not like being the center of attention. She rather be more of a wall flower then be notice by everyone in the room. She is not overly she, she just feels more comfortable being in the low light rather than the lime light. Syri is very creative and crafty. She enjoys making handmade gifts and getting her hands dirty for the sake of seeing a friend smile. Having been sorted into Ravenclaw, she is fairly intelligent in her own right. She does not strive to answer every question that professors offer, but she will answer a few when it is at her convenience.

In terms of her likes and dislikes, Syri is pretty solid. She enjoys reading a good book that has an aire of mystery and adventure. She enjoys attending Potions and Herbology lectures. She is even enjoys performing gymnastic competition routines during her summer vacation as well as modeling a few shoots. She loves the feel of the rain on her skin during a thunderstorm and the beauty of the Hogwarts Grounds lit up under a full moon. She is not fond of people who bully others. She hates witnessing arguments and duels in the middle of the crowded halls of Hogwarts between Slytherins and Gryffindors. Nor does she enjoy stood up by a friend or family member who have no good reason to justify themselves.

Syrine in many senses can be a stubborn witch. She will stay loyal to what she believes in. She also keeps a handful of secrets. Most of the secrets dealing with her time spent at the Greek orphanage as a child before her adoption. Having been adopted by the Marlowe family had been and always will be Syrine's best memory. Her worst memory being to have lived in that Greek orphanage with that horrid, abusive Headmaster. That horrid orphanage headmaster is coincidentally the form of her bogwart. Meanwhile her patronus is that of a peregrine falcon.

CHARACTER HISTORY INTRO:

Miss Syrine Starr Marlowe nee Vasari was born on February 24th, 2038 to Greek pureblood wizards Micah and Artemisia Vasari nee Demetriou in Kalava, Greece. However, growing up as a heiress to the Vasari and Demetriou names was anything but pleasant. The Vasari and Demetriou needless to say were at war with one another. And not the type of friendly 'I win this round' and 'You win this round' type of competition war. Both families were out for the others blood. So it shouldn't be too big of a tale to say that two children; a son from the Vasari family and a daughter from the Demetriou family fell in love. A real life trial of Romeo and Juliet. And just like Shakespeare's play; the star crossed lovers would die by the hands of their family's hatred.

Not remembering much from the first three years of her life, Syrine only has scattered memories of her mother and her father. She remembers her mother's beautiful smile and her father's cheerful laugh. She remembers hearing her parents arguing constantly with her grandparents over needing to let bygones be bygones and ending the bloodied pact set between the two families. Every so often, she will remember that injustice that her parents suffered at the hands of their own siblings and parents. The injustice that her grandparents, aunts, and uncles dealt upon her after having murdered their own blood for the sake keeping the horrid war between them going. Why none of them had decided to take her life along side her parents, she will never know. But even then, death would have been all to kind compared to the hell that she had endured at a remote Greek orphanage in Lamia, Greece.

Having been discarded like unwanted goods by both her paternal and maternal families in a remote orphanage, Syrine was quick to learn that the Headmaster was not a kind soul. He was brutal and abusive to all children that had passed into his care. She had been starved on occasion, locked in a closet often, and made to work endless hours like the other children. During the nights, she could often hear the pleas for help from older children as the Headmaster abused them physically and sexually. She had honestly thought she would end up dying there in that orphanage. But as luck would have it on her 7th birthday; an family of angels in disguise were sent her way.

One day while running an errand for the Headmaster in town, Syrine had stumbled across the path of family that was visiting the city to see family. Not thinking much of the loving family that she had crossed paths with, Syrine returned back to the orphanage with the requested items. However later that afternoon, she was called to the Headmaster's office. There standing in his office was the same family she had come across in the market. Unsure of why they were in such a ruined place; Syrine learned immediately that the family in question were looking to adopt a child.

Needless to say, Syrine was thrilled to be getting away from that orphanage, but there was a set feeling of fear that had been instilled into her from being abandoned and then abused. When all legal proceedings had been filed, Syrine was shipped out of the orphanage and to her new family; the Marlowes'. Life with the Marlowe family that summer in Lamia, Greece was anything but ordinary. Having gained two new step-brothers and a new step-sister was hard to adjusted too. Especially trust wise. When the leaves on the trees had began to change, the big move from the family villa in Greece to the Marlowe Victorian home in London, England had Syrine scared. Upon arrival at her new permanent home; Syrine was quick to find hiding spots. However, not once had she needed to use them. The Marlowe family was very conscientious about her having witnessed her timid and trust-lacking personality back in Greece.

It was at the age of 10 when Syrine had finally removed the last of walls. Having been with the Marlowe family for a lil over 2 years, Syrine was comfortable with her new family and her new life. However, that all changed the moment her magic began to manifest. Lets just say for now that her baby brother Lucas got to feel what it was like to fly for a few minutes. After that little mishap with Lucas, her family began to notice more bouts of random situations occurring with Syrine . Situations that could not be described by any other word except magical. It was during that summer that Syrine and the Marlowe family had found out that she was a witch. And that she had been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
