| Chief Co-Editor | 3 | The Chief Co-Editors are responsible for finalizing the final rough drafts of each columnist section of the Hogwarts Insider before handing it off to the Chief Editors. |
| Photographers | 6 | The Photographers are responsible for providing the photos for each Hogwarts Insider column when requested by a Columnist. |
| Advice Columnist | 2 | The Advice Columnists are responsible for providing fellow students with good advice on how to handle different situations that might occur during their time at Hogwarts. |
| Comics Columnist | 1 | The Comics Columnist is responsible for providing comical relief to the Hogwarts Insider. Comic strips can either be muggle-based or wizarding-based. |
| Fashion Columnist | 3 | The Fashion Columnists are responsible for providing fellow students with the in-styles and the out-styles of the fashion world. Whether they be the newest muggle autumn fashion line or the latest wizarding fashion trend, the Fashion Columnists need to be on point. Plus, it would help if the Fashion Columnists were fashion trend-setters themselves. |
| General Columnist | 5 | The General Columnists are responsible for providing fellow students with the general stories of the muggle and wizarding worlds. They are the ones that often looking into dealing around Hogwarts, the Ministry of Magic, St. Mungo's Hospital, etc. |
| Gossip Columnist | 2 | The Gossip Columnists are responsible for providing all the rumors that travel around the school. Whether they be from a reliable source or not, Gossip Columnists will put the information out there. The Gossip Columnists can make or break someone's social reputation. |
| Horoscope Columnist | 4 | The Horoscope Columnists are responsible for providing students with their daily astrological sign description. Each Horoscope Columnist is assigned to 3 astrological signs. |
| Occupation Columnist | 2 | The Occupation Columnists are responsible for featuring different occupational careers that are available to students after graduation. The columnists give an indepth look into what each occupation entails as well as the rate of growth in the field and the median salary average. |
| Poetry Columnist | 1 | The Poetry Columnist is responsible for taking anonymous poetry submissions from students that wish to have their poetry featured in the Hogwarts Insider. The Poetry Columnist then decides which poem(s) will best fit the new HI edition. |
| Quidditch Columnist | 3 | The Quidditch Columnists are responsible for following the World of Quidditch. Each columnist is assigned to two aspect of the game; the players (both professional and amateur), the regulations, the teams (both professional and amateur), Professional Tournament Cups, and the World Cup. A great sense of how the game works and how it is played is crucial for this position. |
| Social Columnist | 3 | The Social Columnists are responsible for providing students with the information for upcoming Social Events. Whether these events be taking place inside or outside of Hogwarts. From Masquerade Balls and Charity Fundraisers to Debutante Reveals and Weddings. All noteworthy social events will be featured here. |
| Spotlight Columnist | 1 | The Spotlight Columnist is responsible to shining the spotlight on one lucky student or staff member that has risen the bar at Hogwarts. The Spotlight Columnist will conduct several interviews with said Spotlighter and have an article published in that Spotlighter's honor in the Hogwarts Insider. |
